I have had the privilege of collaborating with TupperS Law on various different projects since 2015, first as partner in a boutique litigation firm, and more recently as an external consultant. I have been drafted in when a particular project requires additional, specialist, disputes expertise.
I bring over 25 years’ international dispute resolution experience with me, qualifying as a barrister in 1997, and since then litigating cases in the UK, Europe and elsewhere. I have been a partner since 2011, including at France’s leading international law firm and the US’ largest litigation firm by volume. In 2019, I set up an independent consultancy practice in Malta which now provides additional litigation advice and support to other law firms and their clients as and when they need it. I am a Registered European Lawyer and entitled to practice as such in Malta, allowing me to bridge some of the gap caused by the loss of practice rights in the EU which other UK lawyers have suffered after Brexit. I also run my own commercial litigation firm, with cases in the UK and offshore, and have given expert evidence on English law to courts abroad.
I have led cases in various fora throughout my career, including the specialist Competition Appeal Tribunal, the Competition List in the English High Court, the Court of Session in Scotland and UK and offshore appellate courts.
My competition cases have involved a large range of industries and sectors, most notably banking and financial services, construction, energy, pharmaceuticals, music and transport. I have worked for different sorts of clients, from individual class representatives to states.
